city of Jaipur was established by the Lord of Golden, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I on 18 November 1727, who managed from 1699 to 1743. He wanted to move his capital from Golden, 11 km to Jaipur to oblige the developing populace and expanding shortage of water.
